Savannah Historic District – Savannah’s Charm

There will be similar opportunities for those able to stay on for the weekend, when there will also be the chance to attend the usual services at St John’s Savannah and other churches such as Christ Church Anglican.

WHAT WILL BE THE SOCIAL / ACADEMIC BALANCE?

While the aim of the conference is indeed to provide substantive content on the themes of what it means to be Anglican Catholic and Reformed, it is also intended to offer ample occasions for fellowship and ‘networking’ as well as participation in the liturgies of the day. Discussion will be an important element throughout the conference.

WILL THERE BE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SHORTER PRESENTATIONS?

It is planned to offer  shorter presentations on work in progress by students and researchers, along with more open thematic discussions on the Saturday morning.

One of the longer term goals of the Society is to highlight research demonstrating the central role of the Prayer Book tradition in shaping Anglicanism and to highlight opportunities for further such work in the  future.

ADDRESSING PLANS FOR LITURGICAL REVISION in the Episcopal Church

A particularly imminent issue within the Episcopal Church is going to be the proposal for a comprehensive revision of the liturgy and this is likely to be of widespread concern to our members.

DR PAUL JULIENNE

We are also delighted to have the Physicist Dr Paul Julienne with us. He writes the Science and Faith blog in this online Magazine and we are planning a session with him as part of the conference
