The Anglican Way

Terms of Use

Last updated October 6, 2026

These terms govern your use of anglicanway.org and your subscription to The Anglican Way. The website and magazine are published by The Society for the Preservation of the Book of Common Prayer (the Prayer Book Society USA), 1 West Macon Street, Savannah, GA 31401 (“the Society”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Your account

Members sign in with their email address and a one-time code sent to that address; there is no password. Your account is for you alone. Please keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms or to harm the site or other readers.

2. Subscriptions

A subscription gives one person access to the members’ articles on the website for one year, and for print subscribers, the printed issues published during that year mailed to the address you give us. Current prices are shown on our Subscribe page. We may change prices; a change never affects a year you have already paid for.

  • Payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • One-time annual payment. If you pay once for a year, your access lasts twelve months from the payment date. Nothing renews automatically; we may remind you by email when your year is ending.
  • Automatic renewal. If you choose automatic renewal, we charge the card you provided at the then-current price on each anniversary of your subscription until you cancel. We will email you before each renewal.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel automatic renewal at any time from your account or by emailing us. Your access continues until the end of the year you have paid for.

3. Refunds

If you are not satisfied, email us within 30 days of any subscription payment, including an automatic renewal, and we will refund that payment in full. After 30 days payments are not refundable, but you can cancel so that your subscription does not renew. We will always correct a duplicate charge or a billing error.

4. Donations

Donations support the Society’s work and are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows; Stripe emails a receipt for your records. Donations are not refundable, except that we will correct a mistaken or duplicate gift if you tell us within 30 days.

5. Complimentary access

The Society may give complimentary access at its discretion, for example to contributors and board members. Complimentary access may be changed or ended at any time.

6. Copyright and use of articles

Everything on the site, including articles, artwork, and design, belongs to the Society or to the authors and artists who have permitted us to publish it. You are welcome to read, print, and save articles for your own personal, non-commercial use, and to quote brief passages with credit to the author and The Anglican Way. You may not republish or sell our content, share members’ articles with people who are not subscribers, or copy the site by automated means (including to train artificial-intelligence systems) without our written permission.

7. Submitting your writing

If you send us an article, you confirm that it is your own work and that publishing it will not infringe anyone else’s rights. Submitting does not oblige us to publish. If we accept a piece, we will agree the terms of publication with you before it appears.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to get around the members’ area, interfere with the site’s security or operation, impersonate anyone, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

9. Other websites

The site links to other websites and uses Stripe’s secure pages for payment. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we do not control.

10. Disclaimers and liability

We publish with care, but the site is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. The views expressed in articles are their authors’ own. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Society is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date above when we do, and we will tell subscribers by email about any change that materially affects them. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Chatham County, Georgia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms, refunds, or your subscription: secretary@pbsusa.org, or write to The Prayer Book Society USA, 1 West Macon Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
